1Account eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or control a FocalShift account, purchase a plan, administer a workspace, or accept the Terms. An organization may not create an account for a person under 18.

2Children under 13

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and FocalShift does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Do not submit a child’s personal information to the Services unless a specific feature expressly supports that use and all required parental, school, contractual, and legal permissions are in place.

3Teens and educational content

Public educational or informational material may be viewable without an account. Account features, communities, payments, publishing, direct messaging, and administrative tools remain limited to adults unless FocalShift expressly launches a separately governed youth experience.

4People aged 13 to 17

Accounts are for adults. Public educational and informational pages, course previews, and public community content may be viewable without an account, and a person aged 13 to 17 may encounter them. Creating or controlling an account, purchasing, publishing, messaging, transacting, or administering a workspace is not permitted below 18, and we do not knowingly allow it.

If we learn or reasonably believe that an account holder is between 13 and 17, we will restrict the account’s features, ask for confirmation of age or of a parent’s or guardian’s involvement where a lawful route exists, and, absent a satisfactory response, disable the account and delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable period, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, security, or dispute reasons. Where funds, purchases, or payouts are involved, we may reverse or hold them and will handle them under the Subscription, Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Policy. We may preserve information where safety or law requires.

A parent, guardian, school, or any person may report a suspected account holder under 18 through FocalShift Contact; include enough detail to locate the account. A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a minor’s information, and we will honor the request as applicable law provides after verifying the relationship. Instructors, community administrators, and customers who work with young people are responsible for their own age gating, notices, and consents, and must not create or operate an account on behalf of a person under 18.

5Customer-submitted information

Customers control information they enter about contacts, students, families, or community members. Customers are responsible for determining whether that information concerns a child, establishing a lawful basis, providing required notices, obtaining consent, limiting collection, and configuring access appropriately.

6Removal requests

If you believe FocalShift has collected personal information directly from a child under 13, contact us with enough information to locate the account or data. We will investigate and delete or otherwise address the information as required by law.

7Safety reports

Report suspected child exploitation, grooming, sexualized content involving minors, or imminent danger immediately through available reporting tools and FocalShift Contact. We may preserve and report relevant information to appropriate authorities as permitted or required by law.
