Platform trust

Your business lives here. So we act like it.

Four things a business needs to know before it moves in: who can reach your work, who owns your data, what happens to the money record, and what we may do with what you publish. Each one below is a plain answer, and each one hands you the document that binds us to it.

A sealed workspace whose door opens only outward, on your say-so

An illustration of one sealed workspace — a drawing, not a screenshot.

The four commitments

Plain promises, and the paper behind each one.

Security — who can reach your work

Every page of this platform is served over an encrypted connection, and your browser is told never to accept an unencrypted one. Signing in is required before a member page will answer at all, and the requests that change your records are checked against your own session before they are accepted, so another site cannot make them on your behalf.

Your workspace is separated from every other workspace by the platform itself, decided on the server from who you are signed in as — not by a setting in a form that somebody could get wrong. What you share on the network is shared because you chose to share it.

The practical detail — where the platform runs, what guards the perimeter and what is copied — is on the security page, in plain language and without a badge we have not earned.

Your data — who owns it, and how you leave

Your customers, your content and your records are yours. You can take them out whenever you like, on every plan including the free one. Leaving is a feature of the product, not a favour you ask support for.

Downgrade and nothing is destroyed: what exceeds the smaller plan waits, read-only, until you come back for it. Close the account and deletion happens on the schedule the Privacy Policy states, not on a schedule we invent afterwards.

Who else touches your data, what for, and where they process it is listed by name in the Data Processing Addendum — including the providers behind any AI feature you switch on. If you are a business with your own obligations, that document is the one your counsel will want.

The money record — what we charge and what we keep

Card numbers never reach FocalShift. Payment details go straight to our payment processor through its own hosted checkout; the platform keeps a record of the transaction, not the card. The processor is named, with its role, in the subprocessor list.

The price, the currency and the billing interval are shown before you confirm and again on the receipt. Cancelling is as easy as signing up: no maze, no retention offer standing between you and the door.

Where money moves between members — a sale, a payout, a commission — the rules for who is the seller, when a payout is released and how a dispute is handled are written down rather than decided case by case.

Your content — what we may and may not do with it

What you publish stays yours. The licence you give us is the narrow one needed to actually run the service — store the file, show it to the people you showed it to, make the thumbnail — and it ends when you take the content down.

Content made with an AI feature belongs to you on the terms in the AI Use Policy, which also says plainly where a model provider is involved and what is sent to it. A feed or a recommendation on the network is explained rather than left as a mystery.

If something of yours appears here without permission there is a copyright road with a named agent and a real timetable; if a moderation decision goes against you there is an appeal, not a silence.

The whole shelf

Everything binding, in one place.

The four sections above are the parts most people need. The Legal Centre holds the complete set — terms, privacy, cookies, acceptable use, copyright, billing, accessibility, AI use, the network rules and the commerce rules — each versioned, each dated, each written to be quoted back at us.

Bring your business somewhere it is respected.
