Community Guidelines
These Guidelines protect the people who build, learn, publish, collaborate, buy, and sell across FocalShift communities and the FocalShift Network.

1Be constructive
Treat people with dignity. Debate ideas without attacking identities or individuals. Do not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, shame, or organize abuse. Do not target people based on protected characteristics or encourage others to do so.
2Be authentic
Use accurate identity and business information. Do not impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent credentials, fabricate results, coordinate fake engagement, manipulate reviews, or use undisclosed synthetic media to deceive people.
3Keep people safe
Do not publish private personal information without permission, threaten violence, encourage self-harm, sexually exploit anyone, groom minors, traffic people, promote dangerous organizations, or use the community to facilitate illegal activity. Credible threats may be reported to appropriate authorities.
4Respect ownership
Post only content you own or are authorized to use. Respect copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, and contractual rights. Use our Copyright and DMCA Policy for infringement notices.
5No spam or manipulation
Do not send repetitive or unwanted promotions, scrape members, buy or sell engagement, manipulate discovery systems, deploy deceptive links, run pyramid schemes, or use automated accounts to create artificial activity. Commercial content must be relevant and accurately labeled.
6Marketplace and professional conduct
Represent products, services, prices, availability, qualifications, and outcomes honestly. Deliver what you promise, communicate material limitations, protect customer information, and resolve disputes in good faith. Regulated services must be offered only by properly qualified persons.
7Live sessions, rooms, and recorded content
Conduct rules apply in real time as well as in text. Do not use a live room, audio or video session, stage, or podcast recording to harass, threaten, sexualize, defame, or intimidate anyone; to share illegal, infringing, or graphic material; to expose private information on screen; or to disrupt a session you were invited to. Hosts set and enforce the rules of their own sessions and may remove a participant; FocalShift may end a session, restrict a host or participant, or remove content for a violation.
FocalShift does not record a call and keeps no audio or video. A one-to-one call with a lead may carry video and a shared screen while it runs, and nothing is saved; where you turn the assistant on it writes a text transcript, which is deleted after 30 days. So there is no FocalShift recording of a call to publish, clip, or take down.
If you record a session yourself, with your own tools, it is yours and the law about it is yours: tell participants before you start, obtain the consent and any release that applies where each of you is, and do not publish someone who declined or asked to be removed. Do not screen-share or replay material you have no right to distribute. Assume a live session may be recorded by another participant even where you have not authorized it, and treat sensitive material accordingly. The Live Sessions and Recording Policy sets out what happens today and the rules that will apply when recording ships inside FocalShift.
8Selling and soliciting in community spaces
Promotion is welcome when it is relevant, honest, and allowed by the space you are in. Do not send unsolicited sales pitches by direct message, mass-tag people into offers, hijack someone else’s thread to promote yourself, repost the same offer across many communities, or use a group you joined as a lead list. Follow the posted rules of each community and the rules a host sets for an event or space; administrators may set stricter promotion rules than these Guidelines.
If you ask for money — a tip, a paid task, a subscription, or a purchase — say plainly who is asking, what the money is for, and what a supporter receives. Do not solicit for a cause, charity, or organization you do not represent, do not promise returns, repayment, equity, or investment results, and do not present an atypical income or business result as typical. Selling is governed by the Network Commerce and Marketplace Terms; and restricted categories are listed in the Prohibited and Restricted Businesses Policy.
9Moderation and enforcement
We may reduce distribution, label, remove, preserve, or restrict content; limit features; suspend or terminate accounts; and notify affected parties when appropriate. Decisions consider context, severity, history, intent, risk, and legal obligations. Attempts to evade enforcement may result in additional action.
10Reports and appeals
Report suspected violations using available reporting tools or FocalShift Contact. Include relevant URLs, account names, dates, and context. Affected users may appeal an enforcement decision through the notice or support channel provided. We may decline repetitive, abusive, or unsupported reports.
