The Goals screen. The figure you are working towards, in front of you all month.

A goal that lives in a notebook is a wish. Name what you are growing, name where you want it to get to, and make it your header goal — and it moves out of the notebook and into the bar along the top of every screen in the platform. There is no page you have to go and visit to find out how the month is going, because it is already in front of you.

It fills from the work rather than from your memory. Money that lands, renewals, things sold at the counter, posts that went out — whatever the goal counts, it counts the real thing, at the moment it happens. The figure you glance at on a Tuesday afternoon is the figure, not the figure as of the last time somebody remembered to update a sheet.

And it is honest about pace. Beside the target sits what is left to go, what that works out to each week, and how many customers it would take — so a month that is quietly drifting says so early, while there is still a month left to do something about it.

Then Maven works the whole thing backwards into a week you can actually do: an ordered set of moves drawn from the tools you already run, each one sized against the gap, and rewritten the moment you change the target. Hand Maven the plan and the first pass is already made when you come back to it.
