Scope and standards
This Policy applies to profiles, posts, comments, messages reported to us, groups, listings, reviews, events, media, and other activity on FocalShift.Network. Decisions are based on the Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, marketplace rules, intellectual-property policy, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
How to report content or conduct
Use an available in-product report control or FocalShift Contact. Identify the content, account, listing, or communication; provide a direct URL or other precise location; select or explain the concern; and include supporting context. Do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary to evaluate the report.
A notice alleging illegal content should also identify the reporting person, explain specifically why the material is illegal, identify the relevant jurisdiction and legal basis where known, and include a good-faith statement that the information is accurate. Anonymous reports may be reviewed, although insufficient detail can prevent action.
Review process
We may use automated systems to detect spam, fraud, malware, sexual exploitation, coordinated manipulation, or other risks and trained reviewers to evaluate context. Review may consider the content itself, account history, surrounding activity, applicable location, severity, likelihood of harm, and information supplied by affected parties. Automation may prioritize or assist a decision; significant restrictions may receive human review where required by law or appropriate to the circumstances.
Possible actions
Depending on severity and context, we may take no action; request more information; add a warning, context, or age restriction; reduce recommendation or visibility; disable monetization; remove content or a listing; restrict messaging, posting, commerce, or other features; freeze a transaction or payout; suspend an account; or terminate access. We may act immediately in emergencies and may preserve relevant information.
Decision notices
When appropriate and legally permitted, we will tell the affected member what action was taken, identify the content or account involved, state the contractual rule or legal ground, describe the duration and territorial scope of the restriction, indicate whether automation materially contributed, and explain available appeal options. We may withhold details that would expose confidential information, enable abuse, violate law, or create safety or security risk.
Appeals
If an appeal is available, submit it through the method identified in the decision notice or through FocalShift Contact. Explain why the decision should be changed and provide relevant evidence. Appeals should be submitted promptly and must not be abusive or duplicative. A reviewer not responsible for the original decision will reassess eligible appeals when practicable. We may uphold, modify, or reverse the action and will communicate the outcome.
Urgent safety and illegal activity
For imminent threats to life or physical safety, contact local emergency services first. We may expedite credible reports involving imminent harm, child sexual exploitation, trafficking, terrorism, or serious criminal activity and may preserve or disclose information as permitted or required by law. Repeat violations and reporting abuse
Repeated or severe violations may result in escalating restrictions or termination. We may also act against people who knowingly submit false notices, weaponize reporting systems, coordinate malicious reports, evade enforcement, or repeatedly post manifestly unlawful or prohibited content.
Records and transparency
We may retain reports, evidence, decisions, appeals, and enforcement history for security, legal compliance, audit, and consistency. We may publish aggregated transparency information and provide legally required statements of reasons without exposing personal information or operational details that would undermine safety.
