Monday · 9:40 · The sponsor signed by Thursday

Brand deals, handled like deals.

Deals, not DMs. A sponsorship today lives in a thread you scroll to find, the promise half remembered, what shipped in a folder, what is owed a feeling. On FocalShift a partnership becomes a deal the moment it has a stage, a value and a due date.

Sponsorships get stages, values and deadlines, not a thread you scroll to find.

The Brand Deals book lives in your Revenue workspace, grouped by stage. Each row carries the sponsor, the channel, how long it has been waiting on someone, and when it is due. The one waiting longest is already lifted out.

Because you said brand deals.

The pitch, the agreement and the proof it was delivered — all on the same thread as the payment.

The pitch, kept as a dealEvery partnership gets a stage, a value and a date, sitting in a deal book rather than in a thread you scroll back through hoping to find what you offered.
The agreement, attached to the workWhat was promised is held with the piece of work that delivers it, so nobody has to remember which version was the one that got signed.
Proof of what was deliveredThe sponsor gets their own way in — they read what shipped, sign what needs signing and ask for what they need next, without emailing you for an update.

The pitch, the agreement and the invoice, as one thread.

What was promised, what was delivered and what is owed stay attached to each other. Chasing a payment stops being an archaeology exercise.

A sponsorship is a deal, so it is run like one. Each has a stage it has reached, a value it is worth and a date it is due, and the deal book adds up what is in flight, what has landed this month and what a closed partnership has been worth on average — instead of a number you reconstruct on a Sunday.

Delivery has paper on it. The engagement carries the agreement, the milestones and the board the work actually moves on, so what shipped can be set beside what was promised without either being retyped. When a milestone is met, the invoice is raised from the agreement rather than from memory.

The brand gets its own door. A portal shows them what has been delivered, what is waiting on their signature and what is still to come, and the report you hand them is built from the real board rather than written again. They stop asking for a status update, which is most of what a status update was for.

What it actually does

  • Pitch, agreement and deliverables in one place
  • What was promised sat next to what shipped
  • Invoices raised from the agreement itself

What that changes for you

  • You stop working from a half-remembered email
  • Nothing delivered goes unbilled
  • A late payment is a fact, not a feeling

You come away with a signed agreement and a date money is due.

Wednesday · The agreement is held with the work

Nothing delivered goes unbilled.

The agreement sits on the deal, beside the board that does the work. When a milestone on the board is met, the invoice is raised from the agreement: what was signed is what is billed. Chasing a payment stops being an archaeology exercise. Tick the milestone and watch the invoice come out.

Thursday · A portal for the brand

The brand gets its own door.

The sponsor reads what was delivered, signs on the piece, asks for what they need next, and gets a report built from the real board, not a slide you made on Sunday. They see their side and nothing else.

Month end · Paid

The money arrives in the month like every other stream.

A closed deal is a line in Money Flow next to your bookings, your members and your invoices. From pitch to paid, run like the business line it is.

The Brand Deals deal book. A summary band across the top reads what has been paid this month, what is still in flight, what the partnerships have earned all told and what a closed deal has been worth on average; beneath it a closed panel headed “How the money works” over the line “Plain and honest — no surprises.”; and under that the book itself, grouped by the stage each deal has reached — proposed, negotiating and accepted are the stages in the picture — every row carrying the sponsor it is with, the channel it runs on, how long it has been waiting and the date it comes due.
